A Personal ExperienceYa' know, I'm having a feel of what it would be like if I don't bother to establish a solid friendship with my friends this very minute. It's torturous, believe me. And I just posted something on friendship yesterday... :S
Anyway, my childhood friends, Josh and Christel are at my house now. They've been my buddies ever since they were born and they're one and three years younger than me respectively. Yet, despite being childhood buddies and growing up together, we could hardly think of a subject to converse on during dinner just now. It was like eat... (silence)... eat... (more silence)... eat again... (more awkward silence). I don't know if this is an accurate picture of how it would be like with my friends the next time, friends that I don't bother to build a solid friendship with, cause Josh and Chris are both younger than me. However, I believe that the fact that we grew up together should make up for this age gap... or does it? Haiz, they say '3 years make a generation gap'. I never believed it at first.. but I'm starting to.
HAIYA! Enough of the disappointing stuff! It's making me all PMSy... haha.
PMSy me = Me that you won't want to mess with.
Alright.. so on to the merrier things. CX and YJ came over to do S.S this afternoon and helped me arrange all our individual class pics onto Words for easy printing. Had the itch to pose for the camera.. haha. Here goes:

A lot has been going on in 4E1 and i must say, all of it are bad. Firstly, there seems to be more and more friendship problems going on in the class. While my gang expanded from 4 to 8 people, other gangs seem to be getting smaller and smaller. The kind of trivial friendship problems are growing bigger and gigger and once it roots itself, there's really no turning back. Even i am not spared from this (at least I think i'm not... sensitive lah). Well, actually, i can't say for sure it is all bad. Despite the reshuffling of cliques, certain people seem to be much happier now and are enjoying themselves very much. Yet, we are only left with 3+ months to strengthen the friendships with our new cliques.. let's hope we can really establish that bond made of steel. (-.^.. steel?)Besides this, 4E1 is also not striving as hard as it should to perform for Prelims. Everyone's not putting in effort to study; people are skipping remedial lessons, etc. I was pressurised that I might not get into TJC for the 1st 3 months cause I'm so darn slack, even though it's only 20 more days to Prelims. I was stressed to the extent that i broke down during social studies class on Thursday. Literally cried in front of Miss Leung. There, she saw that weak side of me, AGAIN. Yet, i see this crying as a blessing in disguise. I started to pick myself up from then on and I'm more disciplined now. Finished my Physics Anglo-Chinese Paper 1 just now and even half of Paper 2. It's something I would never have done cause I usually push all my work to Sat and Sun. I'm even paying attention to the teacher during Geog class now.
In addition, 4E1 seem to be getting less and less united. I no longer feel that unity there as I do before. Maybe because the source that binded us together is also getting loose. To my 4E1-ners, you should know what I mean. HE's losing that energy already and i feel that HE wants to give up on our class. It's sad to know and even sadder to say that i'm starting to dislike HE. Hmm.. so many problems to solve in such a short time. All I wish is that 4E1 will stay strong and tide through this difficult period together. True friends are hard to come by. Treasure them while you still can, cause once our paths splits.. they might never meet again.

Snack 2! Can't say if it's healthy or not... =PMilo Choco Chip Cookie
Makes 25 medium sized cookies
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
250g self-raising flour
3 tablespoons of Milo Powder
2 Tablespoons of Sugar
50ml of Milk
40g Butter
2 Handfuls of Raisin
2 Handfuls of Chocolate Chips
Icing Sugar (optional)
Preparation:
1. Preheat oven at 180 degrees celsius
2. Sift flour and Milo Powder into a mixing bowl. Add sugar and butter.
3. Mix well using a electric mixer.*
4. Then, add milk and egg.
5. Use the electric mixer to form a lumpy dough and add chocolate chips and raisins before using your hands to knead the dough into a huge ball.
6. On a lighted floured surface, knead dough and roll out to about 0.3cm thickness.
7. Use a shape cutter to cut out your cookies. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Sprinkle or sift icing sugar onto the cookies once it is cooled. It looks nicer (esp, if you use a star cookie cutter) and tastes sweeter.
* Do not melt the butter before putting it into the flour mixture. Butter may be left in room temperature for some time to soften it up but never melt it to a liquid state as results will be different.
*- Bon Appetit! Woo! Woo! Haha.. during recess today, we girls were having our usual picnic gathering in class. I was going around stealing food from people's lunch boxes. Was about to have a scoop of rice from Sin Hwee's lunch box when I heard Cui Xia screaming 'Prefect!' 'Prefect!' CX and Kat were busy trying to stuff their lunch boxes under the desk and when I looked up, I was staring at Pei Xian, our Head Prefect, in the eye, with my spoonful of rice in mid-air! LOL. He was looking at me with an amused face and I was probably staring back with a stupid silly expression. Thinking back, I must say it was quite funny. Haha.
After recess and after maths, we went to the library supposedly for an english class, but our teacher didn't turn up. Heck. So in the end, I talked to Kat about her problems with a friend. What the hell, spent a whole hour on counselling. Haha... my forte.
So anyway, Prelims is in 22 days time, and I'm not doing anything. Am I happy about it? No. Am I doing anything about it? Hell No.

Yea, I know. Haven't been blogging of late. Reasons? Too busy. Too lazy. Too tired. I've been arriving home at 5-6 plus everyday. My lunch hours were shifted from 12-1 to 3-4pm. Sometimes even 4-5pm!! It's horrifying, especially when you have to try to concentrate on an empty stomach.Anyway, I'm gonna be cooking tomorrow again!! Woowoo!! Here's what it is SUPPOSE to look like...

Parmesan Curry Biscuits.
Looks good don't it!? Heehee... can't wait!
OK.. so back to my day at school... well... there's the good side and the bad side.. Snapped a lot of 4E1's individual photos for the teacher's day present. It was fun watching them do all the poses and capturing their souls... haha.. lame.. -.-
And then there's The Devastation. The numbers... 14/50. My Social Studies MOCK. Heartache!
Miss Leong said she's going to have extra lessons with me. When she asked me if i wanted it, I was nodding my head like a freakin despo. Well.. actually... I am a freakin despo. I need to have my 9 points to go into TJC. I NEED AT LEAST AN A2 for my humanities... something which I can NEVER manage to get. *PPPPfffftttt
Right. There goes the shout for dinner. Ta-ta!

Healthy Snack 1 (Dessert! =P)Serves 3
Preparation Time: About 20 mins
Ingredients:
1 packet of Pancake Mix
1 teaspoon of Pandan Essence
Nutella Bread Spread
1 Green Apple
1 Banana
Preparation:
1. Follow the instructions on the box to prepare the pancake batter. Then add a teaspoon of Pandan Essence to the batter. Mix Well.
2. Make 12 pancakes about the size of a small plate. The remaining pancakes can be stored in the fridge for future use. ( like.. that's common sense. XP )
3. Cut the banana and the green apple into cubes. Cut them only when the pancakes are done, so that they will not brown.
4. Spread a layer of Nutella on the pancake and wrap the fruit cubes with the pancake into a roll.
5. DIG IN! Have a cup of orange juice to complement the dish!
Chef's note:-
I know it's suppose to be a healthy snack, so you can choose not to use Nutella. Instead, go for *fruit jams or honey. I decided to use green apples instead of red apples because its sour taste is a nice constrast to the sweetness of the spread and the banana. You can opt to use strawberries or peaches as well, but apples are still the best choice as it adds a crunch to the dish.
* Make your own fruit jam!
Place strawberries or grapes in a microwavable bowl with a teaspoon of sugar and heat the mixture in the microwave for 30 seconds or less.
*- Hope you like it! Pls comment. :)
